Who watches the Watchmen? This guy!

Kudos to Zack Snyder, cast and crew for pulling off the greatest adaptation of a graphic novel-to-film that I've ever seen. Nearly all the detail that was strategically written and illustrated by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons respectively was captured eloquently through Zack Snyder's talent of cinematic visualization and direction. I'm still blown away by the amount of detail they were able to shove into a running time just under 3 hours. Watching the movie, it nearly felt like I was mentally flipping the pages of the graphic novel and it's clear as day that the book was directly used as their story board.

The midnight experience was fun, despite the usual douche and tool bags that like to share their conversations with the whole theater. One thing that bothered me most was the lack of direction the security guard was giving just before the show started. At 10:00PM people started to form a line. For some reason, the security guard decided to be insistent on "not allowing a line to form." Low and behold at 10:30PM, they open the ropes for people to enter and everyone decides to make a mad-dash for seats. I kept my composure, walked right in, and grabbed great seats for my party. I got a theatrical poster out of it (having to spend $15 at the concession stand). We didn't make it to the end of the credits, at this time it was nearly 3:00AM.

I'm currently on a Watchmen hangover, barely getting through my day at work today.
