Ryan Reynolds is Hal Jordan

Not sure how accurate this information is, but it sounds like Warner Brothers Studios has brought on board Ryan Reynolds to play the Emerald Knight, Hal Jordon in the live action Green Lantern movie to be directed by Martin Campbell (Casino Royale, GoldenEye). I'm feeling indifferent on this casting call. Sure, he looks the part, and he's got the ripped muscles to fill-out a Green Lantern Corp suit. Granted, Reynolds sounds more promising than Justin Timberlake, he plays nearly the same character in every movie. From Hannibal King in Blade Trinity to Deadpool in Wolverine, Ryan Reynolds carried the role of Van Wilder with him. Deadpool was the perfect role for Reynolds because, one, Wade Wilson is a smart-ass. Two, he's silent for the rest of the film. Then on the other hand, I can see a hot-shot fighter pilot in him. So long as they don't make his dialogue terribly campy, I think Ryan Reynolds can pull this off. The solid stone in this equation that gives me hope that this will be a great movie is Martin Campbell. In the mean time, I'll be keeping my fingers crossed until the projected release date of June 17, 2011.
