Don't mistake this so-called outburst for some stuck up Hollywood princess not getting green Jelly Belly's in their luxury trailer. This is clearly a case of someone messing up and being reprimanded for it. Please not, I will try to set my man-crush for Christan Bale aside when analyzing this situation.

Sure, people make mistakes in the workplace. It's easy to accidentally spill a cup of coffee or forget a TPS report is due. By all meand, things like that are easily forgivable and is often resolved with a sincere apology. We've all done it, whether it be intentional or not. But doesn't it piss you off when it KEEPS HAPPENING? Bale points out two things that make his arguement credible and validates a verble beating. One, the guy has done this before. Two, questions the guy's professional integrity. In addition, you're dealing with a person [Bale] who takes their career seriously, where their career calls for wearing emotions on a deeper level than normal.

Sure, Bale could've handled the situation much more calmly. However, I'm sure that guy, and anyone else for that matter, will never make the mistake of messing up any of his scenes again!

8:55AM - Welcome Vice President Biden. There was something very heartwarming about seeing him kiss his family members.

9:05AM - Welcome 44th President Barack Obama! Wow, repeating the oath can be confusing, especially with the whole world watching you.

Making it onto American Idol

For the record, I'm not an American Idol fan, but it's hard to stay away from the first few rounds of freak week!

It seems like "bikin girl" was the stand out performer on American Idol last night. Well, more eye candy with cat claws than performer, she managed to make Simon's eyes pop out of his head... and other things I can imagine. Not sure why she's so controversial considering girls like her are a dime-a-dozen on MTV. She managed to outshine the blind guy who has the voice of an angel!

Wow, talk about bitch-fest at it's greatest! The arguement between Paula, Kara and bikini girl is the best display of female hatered for one another. Woman love to hate other woman.

As political as I get!

I'm not terribly political and the extent of my political inquiry rarely goes beyond headlines you'll find on the ten o' clock news, but yesterday, I couldn't help but watch and rewatch President G.W. Bush's final press conference. In President Bush's press release, he seemed to deviate away from the image of a political leader [confident and unshaken], rather, to a real person with real feelings. It seems all the jokes and criticism has finally caught up to him and he's admitting defeat in regards to the mark he's left in Presidential history. And it's not a very clean mark... which he knows. I actually felt sorry for the guy.

Imagine all of your closest friends. What if they suddenly all turned their backs on you? You make every attempt to make things better, to salvage your friendship by doing good, but all the while you are making things worse. Now multiply that feeling by a thousand.... I think that's the position Bush is in as his final days of his term is coming to an end.

Is leadership a refelection of the people? Or are people a reflection of leadership? Remember, America voted him in... for a second term... right?

Let's put a smile on that face!

As I was watching the season premiere of Fox's 24, I decided to randomly change the channel during a commercial break to chime-in on the Golden Globes. It almost seemed like some spiritual force made me do this, because the moment I swapped channels Demi Moore announced Heath Ledger as the Best Supporting Actor for his work as The Joker! I literally jumped from my couch in excitement. A standing ovation from the crowd was well deserved! I thought it was very fitting. What was even more fitting was Christopher Nolan's acceptance speech on Heath's behalf. What a gentleman that guy is. Sincere and gracious at the same time.

I sure hope this makes the Dark Knight a strong contender for Oscar time!

New Years Resolution

I rarely ever set New Year's Resolutions, simply because I don't believe in making ridiculous promises set forth by a calendar reset. In addition, resolutions seem designed to be broken to simply "try again next year." I decided to give myself a pretty arbitrary goals this year. To take my vitamins regularly everyday. So far, so good... I haven't missed a day. Let's see how long I keep this up.

The biggest news of 2008 was my engagement announcement to my longtime girlfriend. We are very much in love and I've been ready for a long time to drop-the-knee. Alas, it happened on New Years Eve. Without giving you the boring lovey-dovey details she accepted with an enthusiastic yes! I'm sure it will be a fun ride!

New Year

Goodbye 2008, welcome 2009!

Ringing in the New Year was more relaxed than I imagined. My friends and I decided to put aside the drunken craziness for a night of cooking, television and good old fashioned board games. One thing that stuck out was watching Dick Clark's New Years Eve show. I couldn't help but feel sad, seeing him in the condition he was in, slurring his words and definitely without the magically everlasting youth he seems to portray year-after-year. I didn't realize the guy had a heart attack that slightly crippled his speach. I admire his courage for still representing New Year's Eve, but I would've given him just as much admiration had he quietly passed his torch to Ryan Seacrest. What saddens me even more is that it also made me realize how old I am, and that Secrest is now going to be the voice of New Year's Eve. I'm nopt sure how I feel about that! I guess it's fitting considering Seacrest "idol"izes Dick Clark.
